Why I collect data.
Chapel view crafts collects data from you such as name, address, email in order to complete your order. This is done for any selling platform that my products are sold through. How do I collect data When you make a purchase the you share certain information with me in order to complete your transaction. This maybe collected and stored on paper, pc or mobile device.
When I will share your data
Sometimes it is necessary to give out certain details to a third party. For example if I use a courier to deliver your order.

Who is Chapel View Crafts?
Chapel View Crafts is the trading name for my business. I am a sole trader and responsible for all areas of the business. In the rest of this document 'I' refers to me and my business. 'Selling platform' relates to any online website, page or social media messaging that is used to order or communicate with you about your order. The law on data protection sets out a number of different reasons why a company may collect and process your personal data. This includes collecting your name, address, email, username in relation to any online transactions in order to complete the order. It also relates to passing your information onto a third party such as a courier in order to deliver your item. I only use your information in relation to processing and shipping your order.
When do I collect data?
When you visit any selling platform and buy a product online. As a guest purchase the transaction data is recorded. When you talk to me on social media. When you contact me with any questions or queries.
What personal data do I collect?
Depending on where the initial contact has taken place, I can collect your name, billing/delivery address, order information, email and username. I may also collect information through messages or conversations which take place with you.
For example : Any record of messages or conversation relating to any queries or questions to me. On etsy, email or through social media, including your email or username in order to contact you.
How and why do I use your personal data?
To process any orders that you make using any selling platform. This data is necessary during checkout in order to complete your order.
For example: in order to ship your order to you I need your name and address.
How do I protect your data.
The appropriate steps are taken to ensure all other information is safely stored, wether this is on paper, pc or on a mobile device and kept for as long as necessary for my records.
How long do I keep your data?
I only keep information for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected. At the end of that time the information is deleted, or stored for legal reasons.
For example: once the transaction is complete emails are deleted from the server. Order information is kept for 7 years in order to comply with my legal obligations.
Who do I share data with?
Occasionally I will supply personal data with a third party such as a courier who will deliver your order. Your data such as name and address will only be used in order to deliver your item.
I do not currently have a mailing list and do not collect any information for this purpose.
Your rights in relation to the data I hold.
You have the right to request any information that I may hold about you. You can ask for the data to be erased by contacting me at [email protected] . In order to comply with legal obligations some information will be made anonymous (name, address, email, username) leaving only the transaction details for record keeping.
